Our Investment Strategy – Specialize!

One of the keys to successful real estate investing is to know your market well. In addition to keeping abreast of local economic information, it helps to specialize in a particular type of property. You get to know that type well and can more quickly evaluate the condition, value and cash flow potential of a prospective new purchase. For our long-term buy-and-hold purchases, we focus on single family homes (bungalows) with suites. This specialization in suited SFH is driven by two main criteria that were taught to us by a friend who is a long-time real estate investor and has been an important mentor.
